Antispécisme

Three unfired porcelain cushions, each with a distinct form, compose a fragile and deliberately unstable sculptural installation. The decision not to fire the porcelain places the work in a state of permanent vulnerability, exposed to crumbling and disappearance. This material precarity echoes that of contemporary ecosystems subjected to anthropogenic pressures.

This still life exists at the intersection of mourning and responsibility. The cushions, objects associated with rest, care, and human comfort, become funerary supports. They materialize the paradox of a socio-economic model that sacrifices the very conditions of life in order to sustain logics of yield, standardization, and continuous growth. The work thus situates itself within a critical reflection on relations of domination exerted over non-human life.
